You control a Digimon like Agumon or Gabumon, moving through side-scrolling stages to battle other Digimon. The main goal is to defeat all opponents in each area before moving on, collecting spirit orbs they drop to power up your character. Signature mechanics include using a basic attack combo and a special move unique to each Digimon, which you charge up by dealing or taking damage. The pacing is fast, almost frantic, with enemies swarming you from both sides, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly in later stages. It feels like a straightforward, sometimes messy brawler that captures the energy of the show without demanding too much strategy.
