Jump, swing your scimitar, and dash through Agrabah to rescue Jasmine while collecting gems and dodging guards in Disney's Aladdin for the Game Boy Advance.

I picked up Disney's Aladdin for the Game Boy Advance back in 2004, a time when handhelds were really hitting their stride with colorful, action-heavy platformers. Ubisoft handled this one, and it felt right at home among the other licensed titles of the era, offering a solid dose of side-scrolling adventure without trying to reinvent the wheel.
You control Aladdin through a series of levels set in and around Agrabah, using your scimitar to fend off enemies and jumping precisely across precarious gaps. The main goal is to rescue Jasmine from Jafar’s clutches, which means navigating screen-by-screen environments, collecting gems to earn extra lives, and occasionally switching to a carpet-riding segment for some variety. The pacing is brisk, and some sections demand quick reflexes, especially when guards give chase or platforms crumble underfoot. It captures the energy and visual style of the film while keeping you actively engaged in every leap and swing.
