Disney Sports: Football is exactly what it sounds like—Mickey, Donald, and the gang playing full-contact football with cartoon physics and a surprising amount of chaos. I thought it’d be a kiddie game, but those tackles are brutal—Goofy straight-up pile-drives Minnie into the dirt.
You’ve got three ways to play: a full tournament (Challenge Cup), quick matches, or practice mode where you can test out the wild special moves. Speaking of which, the "magic" powers are ridiculous in the best way—Donald chucks fireballs instead of passes, and if you activate Speed Stars, Mickey becomes an unstoppable blur. The controls are simple enough that my little cousin could pick it up, but there’s some sneaky depth if you figure out the timing for dodges and counters.
It’s not Madden, but watching Pluto spike the ball after a touchdown never gets old.
