Disney Sports Snowboarding is one of those GBA games that shouldn’t work as well as it does—but somehow, watching Mickey Mouse pull off a 360 over a halfpipe while Donald Duck faceplants into a snowbank just clicks. The controls are simple (hold A to build speed, tap buttons for tricks), and the courses are short and chaotic, packed with ramps, rails, and the occasional penguin obstacle. It’s not exactly SSX, but that’s the point.
I thought the Disney skin would feel tacked on, but the characters actually add to the charm—Goofy’s wobbly animations when he wipes out are weirdly endearing. The music’s peppy, the colors pop on the GBA screen, and races are just long enough to feel satisfying without overstaying their welcome.
