Disney Sports: Snowboarding is one of those weird little GBA games that somehow works despite looking like a budget title. You pick Mickey, Minnie, or one of the other Disney crew (Chip & Dale share a board, which is both ridiculous and kind of charming), then hit the slopes. The tracks are these grainy FMV loops—like someone filmed a snowboard run and just pasted your character on top. Surprisingly, it doesn’t feel as janky as it sounds.
You’ll spend most of your time grinding rails or launching off ramps to pull off tricks with the face buttons. The shoulder buttons handle steering, which takes a minute to get used to—Goofy wiped out a lot before I figured out the timing. There’s a decent mix of race and trick challenges, though don’t expect anything deep. It’s the kind of game you play for 20 minutes when you’re nostalgic for early 2000s Disney weirdness.
