Game Overview

Doraemon - Kimi to Pet no Monogatari is one of those weird little Game Boy Color games that never left Japan but totally should have. You play as Nobita—y'know, the perpetually unlucky kid from the series—except this time, you're in charge of taking care of virtual pets. Not just cats or dogs, either. Some of them are straight-up robots or creatures that look like they escaped from Doraemon’s 4D pocket.

It’s basically Tamagotchi but with that classic Doraemon charm. You feed them, play mini-games (some are frustratingly simple, others weirdly addictive), and watch them grow. The pixel art is adorable, especially when your pet falls asleep mid-game and you just have to let them nap. No saving the world here—just good vibes and the occasional weirdly specific Japanese cultural reference.

If you’re into retro games or grew up with Doraemon, this is a cozy little time capsule. Just don’t expect deep mechanics—it’s all about that ‘90s handheld simplicity.
