Game Overview

Doraemon no Game Boy de Asobouyo Deluxe 10 is one of those weird little Game Boy gems that never left Japan—which is a shame, because it’s basically a love letter to the series. You get 10 mini-games, each themed around Doraemon’s ridiculous gadgets, like flying around with the Take-copter or causing chaos with the Anywhere Door. The pixel art’s super cute, and the games are simple enough that even if you don’t read Japanese, you’ll figure them out after a few tries.

Some of the mini-games hold up better than others (the racing one’s janky but weirdly addictive), but there’s something charming about how low-stakes it all feels. It’s the kind of thing you’d play for 10 minutes between bus stops, grinning at how perfectly it nails Doraemon’s vibe. Definitely more fun if you’re already a fan, but even if you’re not, it’s a neat little slice of ‘90s handheld nostalgia.
