Dual Heroes came out on the Nintendo 64 in 1998, developed by Hudson Soft. It was part of that wave of 3D fighters trying to find a place on the console, a time when everyone was experimenting with how combat could feel in a new dimension.
You pick a fighter, each with distinct moves; the spear user lunges, the ninja teleports. The main goal is to win matches, but the hook is creating a custom fighter by either training a robot to mimic your actions or merging the styles of two CPU characters into one unpredictable brawler. The pace is fast, a little messy, with that particular N64 roughness in the controls. It feels chaotic, but in a way that makes you laugh when your Frankenstein fighter does something completely unexpected.
