Play Dual Heroes (E) Online
Dodging fireballs while your cyborg ninja lands a ridiculous 10-hit combo feels great, even when the camera freaks out in 4-player chaos. It’s got that N64 jank, but the fighting actually flows once you learn the timing.

Dual Heroes came out for the Nintendo 64 in 1997, developed by Hudson Soft. It was one of many 3D fighting games on the system, arriving in an era when developers were still figuring out how to make polygonal brawlers feel right. The game didn't make a huge splash, but it had its own style and a roster that mixed human fighters with some pretty out-there robotic and monstrous designs.
You pick a fighter and face off against opponents in 3D arenas, using a combination of basic attacks, special moves, and super attacks that build up as you deal or take damage. The main goal is to deplete your opponent's health bar before they do the same to you. Two key mechanics include being able to execute lengthy combos if you master the timing, and a super move system that lets you unleash powerful, screen-filling attacks when your meter is full. The pacing is fairly standard for the genre, though some characters feel much slower or faster than others, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly against certain opponents. It feels like a solid, if unspectacular, effort that captures both the ambition and the roughness of early 3D fighting games on the N64.
