Download Dune II - The Battle For Arrakis_Disk3 ROM – Amiga Game
1992 Amiga real-time strategy game. Build bases, harvest spice, command troops. Three factions with unique units. Campaign with territory conquest missions. Real-time battles require tactical positioning.
Dune II on the Amiga was one of those games that sucked you in for hours without realizing it. You start off with a tiny base, a handful of harvesters, and this creeping sense that the desert is about to eat you alive. The spice must flow, but first you’ve got to defend your harvesters from sandworms—which, by the way, are terrifying when they first burst out of the ground.
The controls take a minute to get used to (this was before right-clicking was a thing), but once you’ve got the hang of building refineries and training troops, it’s hard to stop. The factions actually feel different—Atreides units are more precise, Harkonnen just brute-force everything, and the Ordos... well, they’re sneaky. And that soundtrack? Still stuck in my head decades later.
If you’ve got an Amiga or an emulator, this is the granddaddy of RTS games for a reason.
