Dungeon Explorer on the DS is one of those games that feels like it flew under the radar, but it’s got this weirdly satisfying mix of dungeon crawling and hack-and-slash action. You start off picking your warrior—I went with the sword guy at first, but later runs with the mage were way more chaotic (in a good way).

The dungeons are packed with traps, hidden passages, and enemies that actually make you think before charging in. There’s something about the way the combat flows—it’s not just button mashing, but not overly complicated either. And yeah, the artifacts you find can totally change how you play. Found this cursed ring early on that drained my health but doubled attack power… risky, but worth it.

If you’re into DS-era action RPGs with a bit of old-school charm, this one’s a solid time killer. Just watch out for the spike pits—they got me more times than I’d like to admit.
