You control a chosen officer from the Three Kingdoms era, leading charges across grid-based battlefields. Your main goal is to capture enemy bases and defeat rival commanders while protecting your own. Combat relies on chaining together combos with your weapon and unleashing powerful Musou attacks when your meter fills. The game plays out screen by screen, with a focus on tactical movement and controlling key points on the map. It moves at a deliberate pace, and the difficulty can spike if you're not paying attention to the larger battle. It feels methodical yet chaotic, a strange but compelling mix for a portable game.
