Play Ečstatica Online
You wake up in a nightmare village where everyone’s either gone or turned into blobby monsters—scrounge for weapons, avoid getting cornered, and pray you find that sorceress before something finds you first. Those weird balloon-people somehow make it even creepier.

I first played Ecstatica back in 1994, when it came out on MS-DOS. It was published by Psygnosis Limited, and it stood out from other games of the time because of its unique visual style. Instead of pixel art or pre-rendered backgrounds, it used an early form of ellipsoid graphics, which gave everything a strange, rounded look. It was a time when PC games were experimenting with 3D, and Ecstatica definitely took a different path.
You control a lone traveler who has to survive a cursed town filled with shape-shifting monsters. The main goal is to find and rescue the sorceress Ecstatica, who holds the key to lifting the curse. You explore the village screen by screen, searching for weapons like swords and bows, and you have to manage your stamina carefully during combat. The pacing is tense; enemies can appear suddenly, and the game is unforgiving if you make a mistake. Playing it feels like navigating a tense, unpredictable nightmare where every corner could hide something dangerous.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
