Ed, Edd n Eddy: Scam of the Century came out for the Nintendo DS in 2007, published by Midway Games. It was part of that wave of licensed titles that tried to capture the spirit of the cartoon on a handheld, back when the DS was full of quirky, stylus driven experiments. The game drops you right into the Eds' world of elaborate, doomed get rich quick schemes.

You control Ed, Edd, and Eddy, switching between them to use their unique skills; Eddy distracts other kids, Double D builds gadgets, and Ed smashes obstacles. The main goal is to gather junk and ingredients to construct outrageous scams, like a giant cupcake launcher or a peel powered rollercoaster, all to earn enough cash for jawbreakers. You explore the cul de sac screen by screen, tapping and dragging on the touch screen to combine items, solve simple puzzles, and avoid the Kanker sisters, who will chase you down and reset your progress. The pacing is stop and start, often waiting for the right character to be in place or for an item to respawn, and some objectives feel vague, leaving you to tap on everything. It feels exactly like orchestrating one of their half baked plans, complete with the inevitable collapse.
