Play Elite (Europe) (En,Fr,De) Online
Start with a junker ship and pocket change, dodging pirates while figuring out if you'll trade, fight, or scavenge your way across a surprisingly deep wireframe galaxy. The learning curve's steep, but nailing that first zero-G dogfight makes it click.

Game Overview
Elite on the NES is one of those games that feels way ahead of its time. You start off with a tiny ship and a handful of credits, and suddenly you're thrust into this massive, open-ended space sandbox. The wireframe 3D graphics might look simple now, but back then? Mind-blowing.
First thing you'll do is panic because pirates are already scanning you. Then you realize you can trade goods between stations, upgrade your ship, or just go full space outlaw—it's up to you. The controls take a minute to get used to, but once you do, dogfighting in zero-G feels weirdly satisfying. Just don’t expect hand-holding; this game drops you in and lets you figure it out.
It’s still impressive how much freedom they crammed into an NES cartridge.
