Game Overview

ESPN Sunday Night NFL on SNES was one of those mid-90s football games that tried to do a little bit of everything. You get all the real NFL teams and logos, but no player names—just generic jerseys and numbers. Still, it’s got that classic ESPN vibe, complete with Chris Berman’s voice popping up during commentary (and yeah, he’s on the cover too).

What’s cool is the weather system—players actually slip around in the rain, which was pretty neat for the time. You can jump into a single game, play through a full season, or even relive the 1994 schedule if you’re feeling nostalgic. And thank goodness for the battery save—no scribbling down passwords here.

It’s not the deepest football sim, but if you miss that era of SNES sports games, this one’s got some charm.
