Play F-Zero X (J) Online

F-Zero X throws you into 30-car races where the tracks twist like rollercoasters and every boost feels like barely controlled chaos—you’ll be scraping the walls but grinning the whole time. That Japanese version? Same insane speed, just different menu fonts.

Game Overview

F-Zero X came out for the Nintendo 64 in 1998, developed and published by Nintendo. It arrived during a time when the console was building a library of fast-paced, polygonal racers, and this one pushed the hardware to its limits with its sheer number of on-screen vehicles and blistering frame rate.

You control a high-speed anti-gravity machine, competing against 29 other racers on twisting, perilous tracks filled with jumps and narrow pathways. The main objective is straightforward: finish in the top positions across multiple cups to unlock faster vehicles and new circuits. Key mechanics include a boost that drains your energy bar (which also acts as your health), and the ability to slam into opponents to drain their energy and potentially knock them out of the race entirely. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty is steep, demanding precise control and track memorization. It feels like walking a tightrope at 1000 kilometers per hour, where one mistake sends you spinning into the abyss.
