Play F1 Pole Position 2 (Europe) Online
Braking late at Monaco sends you into the barriers, but when you nail the perfect lap, the car just flows—those 16-bit engines screaming as you fight the AI for every inch of track.

F1 Pole Position 2 came out for the Super Nintendo in 1993, developed by Human Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. It was one of the few Formula 1 racing games on the SNES, arriving at a time when console racing was still figuring out how to balance speed with playability. The game offered a full season mode, complete with qualifying sessions and a roster of real teams and drivers from that era, which gave it a sense of authenticity next to other arcade style racers.
You control an F1 car from a behind the vehicle perspective, working to qualify on pole and then win each Grand Prix. The handling requires careful throttle control and precise braking; tap the brake too hard and the car will spin, especially in the wet. Races are tense, strategic affairs where tire wear and fuel consumption play a role, forcing you to manage your pace. It feels rewarding when you thread through a series of corners cleanly and build a gap over the persistent AI drivers.
