FIFA 14 on PlayStation Portable came out in 2013, developed by EA Sports. It was one of the last FIFA titles released for the PSP, a handheld that had already seen better days by then. You control a full soccer team, switching between players to pass, tackle, and shoot. The main goal is to score more goals than the opponent across various modes like exhibition matches and tournaments. Signature mechanics include through balls for breaking defensive lines and manual player switching for better defensive positioning. The pacing is generally quick, though the AI can be predictable on lower difficulties. It feels responsive and satisfying when you string together a good play, even with the hardware limitations.
