Game Overview

Final Battle on the Amiga is one of those games that looks simple at first—just another side-scrolling shooter—but has this weirdly satisfying rhythm to it. You pilot a little ship through waves of enemies, dodging bullets and picking up power-ups that actually feel like they make a difference. The music’s got that classic Amiga synth vibe, and the pixel art holds up surprisingly well.

What I didn’t expect was how punishing it gets after the first few levels. One wrong move and you’re back to square one, but in a way that makes you want to try again immediately. The controls are tight, though, so when you die, it’s usually your fault—no cheap hits here.

If you’ve got an Amiga or an emulator, it’s worth a few runs just for the nostalgia alone.
