Game Overview

Five-a-Side Indoor Soccer was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, a compilation that brought together a number of early PC sports titles. It was developed by D&H Games and published by Electronic Arts, arriving during a period when simple, fast-paced sports simulations were gaining traction on home computers. The game captured the spirit of small-field soccer with a focus on quick, arcade-style play rather than deep simulation.

You control a team of five players, switching between them to pass, shoot, and tackle in a compact indoor arena. The main objective is to outscore your opponent within a time limit, with an emphasis on rapid ball movement and aggressive defense. Signature mechanics include the ability to perform sliding tackles to dispossess opponents and the way the ball caroms unpredictably off the walls, forcing you to anticipate rebounds and capitalize on loose balls. The pace is relentless, and matches often descend into frantic scrambles in front of the goal. It feels scrappy and immediate, like a real pickup game where every touch matters.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
