Game Overview
Flying Hero is this weird little NES arcade game where you play as two firefighters holding a trampoline. The whole thing feels like a mix between Breakout and some fever dream about urban rescue missions.
You just keep bouncing this tiny hero guy up the screen while he grabs people from burning buildings. The controls are stiff in that classic NES way—sometimes you swear you moved under him but the trampoline just wasn't quite there. Buildings crumble in these blocky, satisfying ways when he rescues everyone inside.
It's simple but oddly tense when the hero's falling and you're scrambling to reposition the firefighters. The fires spread if you're too slow, which gives it this weird time pressure most breakout clones don't have. Flying Hero isn't deep, but there's something charming about its janky little rescue premise.
