Game Overview
Flying Hero is one of those SNES games that makes you wonder why it wasn’t more popular. You play as this goofy, cape-wearing hero who can fly—sort of—but mostly just flutters around like a slightly drunk bird. The levels are bright and weird, full of enemies that look like they escaped from a rejected Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles villain lineup.
At first, the controls take a second to click—your guy doesn’t exactly soar like Superman, more like a seagull with one wing. But once you get the hang of it, bouncing between flying punches and ground combos feels surprisingly smooth. The music’s got that classic SNES charm too, all bouncy synths and punchy beats.
It’s not the hardest game out there, but some of the later levels will absolutely test your patience (in a good way). If you dig obscure 16-bit action with a side of superhero absurdity, this one’s a solid time capsule.
