Forgotten Worlds is this weird, awesome shooter where you play as two buff dudes—basically Arnold Schwarzenegger clones—flying around with jetpacks, blasting aliens. The twist? You don’t just shoot straight; you control a little satellite that orbits your guy, and you spin it around to aim in any direction. Feels clunky at first, but once you get the hang of it, mowing down waves of enemies is super satisfying.
Every level ends with a ridiculous boss fight (some of them take up half the screen), and between stages, you hit up a shop with the cash dropped by dead enemies. You’ll spend it on new guns, armor upgrades, or health packs—though I always regretted not saving up for the flamethrower sooner. The mohawk guy is obviously the cooler choice.
It’s got that classic Sega Genesis vibe: tough as nails, but you’ll keep coming back just to see what bizarre enemy or weapon pops up next.
