Fossil Fighters is one of those weirdly addictive DS games where you dig up dinosaur bones like some kind of tiny paleontologist, then bring them back to life for arena battles. At first, I thought the fossil cleaning minigame would get old fast—scrubbing away dirt with the stylus—but there's something weirdly satisfying about revealing a perfect T-Rex skull under all that grime.
The battles are turn-based but with a twist: your dinos have elemental strengths and weaknesses, so you're constantly swapping your team around. I lost my first few matches before realizing a fire-type raptor gets wrecked by water attacks. The designs are goofy in the best way—imagine a triceratops with actual boxing gloves.
It's half museum simulator, half Pokémon-style brawler, and way more fun than it has any right to be. Just don't blame me when you start absentmindedly tapping fossil-cleaning patterns on your lunch table.
