Freeway is that classic Atari 2600 game where you're just trying to get a chicken across a ridiculously busy road. Sounds simple, right? But those cars come at you fast, and the timing is brutal—one wrong move and your poor pixelated chicken gets flattened.

You get a point every time you make it across all ten lanes, and the whole thing wraps up after exactly 2 minutes and 16 seconds. There’s a two-player mode too, which turns it into a frantic race to see who can dodge more traffic. And if the default speed feels too easy (or impossible), you can tweak how many cars zoom by and how fast they go.

It’s one of those games that looks basic but gets weirdly intense when you’re just one point behind your friend with seconds left.
