Game Overview

Fun House came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1991, developed by Nexa. It was one of those late-era NES games that tried something a little different, based on the chaotic kids' game show. You don't see many games built around that kind of frantic, physical comedy, especially not on a system better known for platformers and RPGs.

You control a kid on rollerblades, and your goal is to sprint through 72 interconnected rooms, hitting targets with thrown tomatoes before the timer runs out. The main mechanics are all about speed and accuracy; you're constantly moving, weaving around obstacles like swinging mallets and rolling barrels while trying to line up your shots. It's a fast, unforgiving game where mistakes cost you precious seconds, and the sheer number of rooms means you have to maintain that focus for a long time. Playing it feels like being thrown into a hectic obstacle course where every second counts.
