Game Overview

Okay, so Futari wa Precure: Arienai! Yume no Kuni wa Daimeikyuu is this surprisingly solid GBA beat-'em-up that somehow flew under the radar. You pick either Nagisa or Honoka (or go full magical girl mode as Cure Black/White) and just wreck shadowy goons across these bright, dreamy stages. The sprites are chunky and full of personality—when you land a three-hit combo and finish with a screen-filling special move, it actually feels like an anime fight scene.

What’s cool is how it mixes old-school arcade vibes with little RPG touches. Between stages, you’re upgrading stats or picking new abilities, which gives it more depth than your average button-masher. And if you’ve got a friend around? Co-op mode turns it into this chaotic, joyful mess where you’re constantly shouting “HEAL ME!” or accidentally punching each other mid-combo. It’s got that early 2000s anime game jank in the best way possible.

Seriously, even if you’ve never watched PreCure, the gameplay holds up. Just don’t be surprised when you start humming the transformation theme after an hour.
