Game Overview

Future Basketball is one of those weird, early Amiga sports games that somehow makes hoops feel like a fever dream. You've got players in neon uniforms bouncing around a court that looks like it was designed by an '80s sci-fi artist—think glowing floors and backboards that might double as spaceship parts.

The controls take a second to get used to (passing feels oddly stiff at first), but once you figure out the timing, it’s strangely satisfying. The AI isn’t exactly smart—your teammates sometimes just stand there like they’re waiting for a bus—but the fast breaks and exaggerated dunks make up for it. And yeah, the soundtrack is pure synth cheese, but in the best way possible.

It’s not a deep sim, but if you want a quick, flashy arcade-style basketball game with retro charm, this one’s a solid pick.
