Game Overview

Game & Watch Gallery 2 came out for the Game Boy in 1998, developed and published by Nintendo. It was part of that era where handhelds were all about quick, replayable games you could pick up anywhere. This one remade a bunch of the old single-screen LCD games from the 80s, but with a modern Mario-themed twist.

You control characters like Mario or Donkey Kong Jr. across several mini-games, each with its own simple objective. In Parachute, you move a platform left and right to catch falling characters; miss too many and it's over. Donkey Kong has you climbing ladders while dodging barrels, and Chef tasks you with flipping food into a pan without dropping any. The pace is fast, and the difficulty ramps up quickly, demanding sharp reflexes and timing. It feels satisfying when you finally beat a high score after dozens of attempts.
