Play Ganbare Goemon Kirakira Douchuu - Boku ga Dancer ni Natta Riyuu (Japan) Online
Goemon ditches his pipe for disco—you’ll platform through feudal Japan one minute, then nail funky dance moves to wild beats the next. Miss a step and he eats floor, but the ridiculous charm makes you wanna try again.

Konami released Ganbare Goemon Kirakira Douchuu in 1995 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It was a late era SNES game, arriving when many players were already looking ahead to newer consoles, but it offered a quirky, rhythm focused twist on the familiar side scrolling action of the Goemon series.
You control Goemon as he travels through vibrant, themed stages, platforming and using his pipe to attack enemies. The main goal is to reach the end of each stage, but the real signature is the sudden shift into rhythm based dance battles. These occur at specific points; you must press buttons in time with on screen cues to perform dance moves. The pacing is uneven, alternating between straightforward action and these demanding, stop and go rhythm tests. It feels unexpectedly silly and challenging, a strange but earnest mix that keeps you engaged through its oddity.
