Play Garou Densetsu 2 - Aratanaru Tatakai (Japan) (Rev A) Online
Mai’s fireballs leave flaming trails across the screen while you hop between planes to dodge Big Bear’s ridiculous piledriver—this SNES fighter’s got more swagger than people remember.

Garou Densetsu 2, known as Fatal Fury 2 outside Japan, was released by SNK in 1992 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It arrived during a period when fighting games were rapidly evolving, and the SNES library was expanding with arcade-quality ports. This version, Aratanaru Tatakai (Rev A), brought the arcade experience home with some adjustments, fitting right in among other competitive titles of the era.
You control one of several martial artists, each with unique special moves, and face opponents in one-on-one battles across various international stages. The main objective is to defeat all rivals and become the champion, navigating through a series of matches with limited continues. Signature mechanics include the two-plane system, which lets you jump between foreground and background to evade attacks or close distance, and desperation moves that can turn the tide when your health is low. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty can feel unforgiving, especially against later opponents who read inputs sharply. It feels responsive and tense, demanding quick reactions and a good sense of spacing to succeed.
