Play Ghostbusters II on GB Online

Ghostbusters II on Game Boy came out in 1990, published by Activision. It was one of those early handheld tie-ins that tried to capture the movie's energy on a tiny screen. You could tell it was made when developers were still figuring out how to translate big ideas into something that worked with just a few buttons and limited hardware.

You control two Ghostbusters at a time, switching between them to handle different tasks. One zaps ghosts with a proton pack while the other positions a trap to capture them. The game plays out screen by screen, with you clearing areas of spooks before moving on. It can get pretty frantic when multiple enemies appear, and the controls take some getting used to. The whole thing feels a bit clunky but has its own odd charm when you finally coordinate a capture.
