Slide letters fast to spell words before they vanish—pink spaces jack up your score, and that sneaky blue underline? Total game-changer. Try Encore mode where letters scroll by like a runaway train.

Game Overview

Glib is basically Scrabble for the Atari 2600, but with some weird little twists that make it way more frantic than the board game. You get seven letters shuffled at the top, and you’ve gotta drag them down to spell words—except the scoring gets wild when pink or red spaces double or triple your points. There’s also these blue underlines that boost individual letters, which I didn’t even notice at first until I randomly scored way higher than expected.

What’s cool is how different each game mode feels. My favorite is Game 4 (Encore), where letters slide right like a conveyor belt and you’ve gotta snatch them fast before they vanish. Game 5 is even meaner—once a letter’s gone, it’s gone for good. And if you’re playing against someone, the back-and-forth button presses add this weirdly tense rhythm where you’re both judging each other’s terrible word choices.

Oh, and the difficulty switches? They actually matter. Set it to skill level 5 and you’ll be sweating as the timer randomly speeds up or slows down. Definitely one of those games where you start thinking "just one more round" at 2 AM.
