Play Goal! on GB Online
Pick a team, fight through the Super Cup—those diagonal passes feel awkward until they suddenly click, and then you're hooked. Stats track your wins, losses, and those brutal penalty shootouts.

Goal! on the Game Boy is one of those old-school soccer games that keeps things simple but weirdly addictive. You pick a team—Germany, England, Argentina, and a few others—and try to claw your way through the Super Cup to become champ. There’s also Exhibition mode if you just want a quick match, or Penalty Kick for some shootout drama, but the real challenge is that tournament.
The gameplay’s got this diagonal top-down view, which feels a little janky at first but actually works once you get used to it. After each match, you get one of those classic password codes so you don’t lose progress (no saves here, obviously). And if you’re the type who obsesses over stats, it tracks wins and losses for every team, which is a nice touch for a Game Boy sports game. It’s not fancy, but it’s solid for some handheld soccer action.
