Game Overview
Gradius II is that classic Konami shooter sequel that never made it to the US on NES—Japan got all the fun until the Wii Virtual Console era. It's the same side-scrolling spaceship chaos as the first one, but with beefier weapons, weirder enemy patterns, and those iconic Moai heads that still freak me out when they start shooting.
You know the drill: grab power-ups, build your weapon loadout, and try not to get obliterated by the screen-filling bosses. The second loop gets brutal fast, but that’s half the charm. Still one of the tightest shooters on the NES, even if it took forever to officially reach us.
