Game Overview

I picked up Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories on the PlayStation Portable back in 2006, developed by Rockstar Leeds and published by Rockstar Games. It was one of those big open world games that really pushed what the PSP could do at the time, letting you carry a full scale criminal playground in your pocket.

You play as Victor Vance, an ex soldier trying to build a criminal empire in 1980s Vice City. The main goal is to take over rival territories by completing missions, from drug smuggling runs in speedboats to firebombing enemy assets. Key mechanics include managing your businesses for income, engaging in turf wars to expand your influence, and hijacking any vehicle you come across. The pacing stays intense, with constant threats and opportunities pushing you to stay aggressive; it feels chaotic and ambitious, like you're holding together a volatile operation by sheer force.
