Swinging giant green constructs at robot hordes with Hal’s ring never gets old—especially when you improvise mid-fight, tossing up shields or summoning a jet out of nowhere. The DS actually makes those space battles feel frantic when the Manhunters pile on.
Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters on DS is basically you playing as Hal Jordan, slinging constructs left and right with that power ring. At first, I thought it'd be just another generic superhero beat-em-up, but the ring mechanics actually feel pretty satisfying—you're not just punching stuff, you're conjuring up giant fists, shields, and even fighter jets mid-combo.
The Manhunters make for decent punching bags, though some of the later levels get surprisingly tough when they swarm you. The space environments look decent for a DS game, especially when you're flying through asteroid fields or wrecking robots in Oa's sci-fi halls. Story's nothing deep, but hey, it's got that classic Lantern vibe.
If you ever wanted to feel like you're barely keeping control of an overpowered space weapon, this does the trick.
