Game Overview

Harapeko Bakka is a Japan-only Super Nintendo Entertainment System release from 1995, developed by KID and published by Imagineer. It arrived late in the SNES lifecycle, a time when many developers were experimenting with puzzle mechanics and quirky concepts rather than pushing graphical boundaries.

You control a small, perpetually hungry dinosaur that must clear each single-screen stage by eating every piece of food. Movement is restricted to straight-line dashes in four directions; you charge forward until you hit a wall or obstacle. The challenge comes from navigating around indestructible blocks, avoiding enemies, and dealing with environmental hazards like ice patches that send you sliding uncontrollably. The goal is simply to clear each stage efficiently, but the respawning food and increasingly complex layouts demand careful planning. It feels like a tense, methodical puzzle disguised as a cute arcade game.
