The pitching interface requires you to select a type and location, then time your release for maximum speed or break. Fielding involves diving for liners and stretching for throws at first, with a noticeable physicality to the player movements. The game moves at a deliberate pace, and mistakes on defense are costly, making each hit ball tense. It feels solid and responsive when you connect with a pitch or make a tough play in the field.
