Harley Davidson for the Game Boy Color came out in 1999, developed and published by Titus Interactive. It was one of many licensed titles trying to capture the feel of arcade racers on the small, colorful handheld. You controlled a biker on various courses, from winding highways to more obstacle-filled urban tracks. The goal was straightforward: finish the race in first place.
You navigate your motorcycle using the D-pad, managing speed and trying to avoid other vehicles that frequently cut you off. The game uses a split-screen view during two-player mode via link cable, a notable feature for its time. Races are short but demanding, with aggressive AI opponents and tight corners that punish mistakes. It feels like a constant, jittery battle for control on a screen that's just a little too small for the speed.
