Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix came out on the Nintendo DS in 2007, published by Electronic Arts. It was part of that wave of licensed movie games that tried to do something interesting with the hardware, in this case making heavy use of the touchscreen. The game covers the plot of the fifth film, putting you right in the middle of the conflict with the Ministry of Magic.
You play as Harry, exploring a freely accessible Hogwarts to complete missions, find secrets, and learn new spells. The main goal is to build up Dumbledore's Army while dealing with Dolores Umbridge's oppressive new rules. The two big mechanics are casting spells by drawing specific shapes on the touch screen and using Wingardium Leviosa to solve environmental puzzles by carefully stacking and moving objects. The pacing is a bit stop and start, with a fair amount of backtracking through the castle halls between story moments. It feels like being given a key to the castle and told to cause a little trouble.
