Harukanaru Augusta 3 is one of those SNES golf games that somehow nails the feel of the sport without overcomplicating things. You pick your club, adjust your aim with this satisfying little power meter, and just... swing. The pixelated greens look surprisingly good for a 16-bit game, and there’s something weirdly relaxing about watching your ball arc across the sky, even when it inevitably lands in the rough.
It’s Japan-only, but don’t let that scare you off—menus are simple, and after a hole or two, you’ll figure out what everything does. The controls are tighter than the first two games, and the wind actually feels like it matters here. I lost way too many balls to sudden gusts before I learned to check the little flag at the bottom of the screen.
Honestly, it’s the kind of game you boot up for "just one round" and suddenly realize an hour’s gone by. If you’ve got a soft spot for retro sports games, this one’s a hole-in-one.
