Haunted House Candy Hunt is one of those weirdly charming Flash platformers where you play as Jek Porkins and Ponda Baba (yes, that Jek Porkins) on a mission to steal candy back from the Grim Reaper. The controls are simple—arrow keys to move, up to jump—but the real fun is in the janky physics and the bizarre enemy designs. Skeletons, ghosts, and who-knows-what-else try to stop you, and half the time you’ll accidentally kick when you meant to jump off a rope. It’s messy, but in a way that makes you laugh instead of rage.
The levels are short and packed with candy to grab, though some of it’s hidden in spots that’ll take a few tries to reach. And good luck figuring out the Grim Reaper’s pattern the first time—he’s faster than he looks. If you’re into old-school platformers with a side of ridiculousness, this one’s a solid way to kill 20 minutes.
