Game Overview
If you grew up watching the cheesy-but-loved Hercules TV show in the '90s, this Game Boy Color game is a weirdly faithful little adaptation. You’re basically running around smashing pots (why are there so many pots in ancient Greece?), swinging a sword at snake ladies, and occasionally getting stuck on those sliding block puzzles that every GBC game seemed to include.
The graphics have that chunky, colorful charm of late-era Game Boy titles—Hercules’ hair is basically a blonde pixel helmet. Combat’s simple but satisfying, especially when you knock a minotaur off a cliff. And yeah, you’ll fight a lot of the show’s villains, though some just kinda… stand there menacingly while you whack them.
It’s short, it’s janky in places, but there’s something endearing about how it captures the show’s vibe. Just don’t expect God of War. More like "Demigod of Mildly Annoying Platforming Sections."
