Hero Senki: Project Olympus came out in 1992 for the Super Nintendo, developed by Winky Soft. It was part of that wave of licensed games that tried to blend different franchises, in this case mashing up Gundam, Kamen Rider, and Ultraman into one side-scrolling adventure. You choose to control either a Gundam, a Kamen Rider, or Ultraman, each with their own unique moves and beam attacks. The main goal is to fight through waves of enemies across various stages, using a combination of melee combos and special energy attacks that drain a meter. The combat is straightforward but hectic, with a focus on clearing screens of foes and occasionally fighting larger boss characters. The pacing is fast, and it can get quite difficult, especially when dealing with enemy swarms or tricky platforming sections.
