Hokuto no Ken 3 on the NES is one of those weird, rough-around-the-edges RPGs that somehow nails the vibe of the manga. You start off with Kenshiro, Bat, and Lin wandering through a post-apocalyptic wasteland, punching bandits and occasionally running into familiar faces from the series. The combat's simple—mostly just mashing buttons to unleash those iconic Hokuto Shinken moves—but there's something satisfying about watching Kenshiro explode enemies with a single finger.
It's not exactly deep, and the translation is... well, let's just say you'll be squinting at some of the dialogue. But if you're a fan of the series, it's fun to see the story play out in 8-bit form, even if some parts feel rushed. The Asura arc gets especially chaotic, in that classic Fist of the North Star way. Just don't expect a polished Final Fantasy experience—this is pure, janky 80s anime adaptation energy.
