Game Overview

Hyper Olympic '84 is that old-school arcade game where you're basically mashing buttons like a maniac to sprint, hurdle, and hammer your way through Olympic events. It's got that classic early '80s vibe—pixelated athletes, bleepy synth music, and controls that make your fingers ache after a few rounds.

First time I played, I thought "how hard can a running game be?" Then my guy faceplanted over the very first hurdle. Turns out timing matters way more than speed, especially in the pole vault—miss the mark and you're eating sawdust. The archery event's my favorite, though. You actually have to account for wind, which feels weirdly advanced for such a chunky pixel game.

If you grew up with arcades or just love brutally simple sports games, this one's a time capsule. Just don't blame me when you start dreaming about button combos.
