Imperium on SNES throws you into this gritty sci-fi rebellion where you’re basically the last hope for a bunch of robot slaves. They’ve built this insane power armor to fight back—problem is, only a human can wear it. Guess that’s you.
It’s a vertical shooter, but with a twist: you start with just one life and a basic Vulcan gun. Missiles are rare, so you’ll want to save them for when the screen’s packed with enemies. Some of them drop weapon upgrades, though—nothing beats the first time you unlock the laser and suddenly feel unstoppable.
Three difficulty levels mean you can ease in or just dive straight into the chaos. The harder ones really make you sweat over those five energy units.
Honestly, it’s one of those games where you’ll restart a lot early on, but once you get the rhythm, blasting through waves of robots feels surprisingly satisfying.
