Game Overview

Inazuma Serve da! Super Beach Volley came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1995, published by Virgin Interactive. It was one of those late-era SNES games that tried to squeeze a little more personality out of the hardware, leaning into colorful, exaggerated character designs rather than pushing technical boundaries.

You control a team of two characters from the Inazuma Eleven series, moving them around a small beach court. The main objective is to win matches by outscoring the opposing team, but the real draw is pulling off special attacks. By charging up a meter through successful bumps and sets, you can unleash over-the-top spikes that fill the screen with fire, lightning, or whirlwinds. Matches are fast and a bit frantic, with the computer opponents quickly punishing weak returns. It feels less like a simulation and more like a cartoon battle where the ball happens to be involved.
